Fringe!

After the adventurous, outdoorsy, healthy and almost spiritual experience that was Iceland we embarked on five days of booze, fried food, music, art and comedy in Edinburgh- for balance, you know! We went to visit Tim's brother Geoff and his girlfriend Heather and got to stay in their lovely new apartment in the middle of the city. We saw about 3 different shows each day- ranging from hilarious stand up comedy to some more serious theatre, sketches shows, cabaret acts, an amazing Finnish, leather-clad a capella group to a wonderful graphic art exhibition.

We saw hilariously crude Australian comedian, Jim Jefferies
Many of the venues were held in beautiful old buildings like this church
'Fork'- the incredible Finnish a cappella group- seriously, these guys were fierce!! The sounds they could make without anything prerecorded was simply amazing.

Aw, that face!! Barry Morgan and his wonderful world of organs, recognise him from spicks and specks?
We did also manage to get some sight-seeing in
 And it wasn't all rain!
 The view from Arthur's seat

Edinburgh is a pretty special little city- historical and beautiful, and so easy to walk around. We had an amazing time, and seeing it come to life with people, music, dance and culture was pretty amazing!
